There It Goes Again...

February 10, 2011

Are you a deodorant user?

Well , I am, since I was a teen with those sweaty armpits that drive me (and my parents back in the school days) mad.

Because the sweat stained my white school shirts. *blush*

I've used quite a lot of brands for deodorant but there's always a case where...

I just cannot understand why it leaks!!! :( All the time!

Even I put it upright, sideways... it still does the leaking thing. Ish!

Anyone has a way to solve this please?

Even with the instruction on how to close the cap does not even help the leaking problem. :(

Argh!

I've tried to clean them several times, checked the roller and all, but the problem still happens after that. =(

Gah! Please help me ya....

Last but not least, some information that you may want to know..

Note on the instruction: "Shake well with cap on"... I don't even dare to shake it in case the whole thing leaks out even more... geez...

A Mini Update

August 4, 2010

Hi people, it's been a longggggggg July for me. Many things happened until I do not have the mood to blog about it. Even my giveaway is long overdue. :( Sorry!

To start boosting myself up, I went for my usual medi/pedi session at Nail Hansen @ Queensbay.

Seriously speaking, I'm really tired after all that have been through for the past few weeks as my grandmother just passed away. :( But anyway, let's not move into that part.

So here's what I have done for my toes.

Color: OPI Merry Midnight Holiday Wishes Collection 2009.

When I saw the sample picture of this color, it was darker. I would prefer to have this 3 coats instead of 2 though.

For the Fingers.

Some Korean Brand nail polish. I don't remember if it's Lumico or Lumino/Lamino. Probably got the names wrong anyway. :P

Loving the silvery sparkles. I bet it might be a pain to get them off. -_-

Anyway, that's all for a short update before my next giveaway (I promised!).

See you people soon! :)

An Affair with OPIs

May 11, 2010

My affair with nail polishes is getting "wilder" these days. I can even foresee my drawer space getting lesser and lesser with these babies. xD

Anyway, I went for a medi pedi session again two weeks ago for a birthday treat (not sponsored by anyone thou..). And that was really a good reason get pampered since my last visit with Nail Hansen were 2 months ago (during CNY). LOL!

*Queensbay Penang Nail Hansen, doing pedi on my friend. :)

Here's what I got.
*the chopsticks were there because I was camwhoring during dinner time. xD

Product pic of OPI - Italian Love Affair.
It's a classic color from OPI. Very sweet pink with slight peachy undertone. However, only two coats of this on my nails. IMO, you'll need 3 coats to get them fully covered.

As for my pedi color, I got this.
*no flash.

* with flash.

Product pic of OPI - Play til midnight.
This was from one of their LE collection :OPI's holiday in Toyland.

Too bad I couldn't find this around anymore. The color is such a beauty!

I really envy beauty bloggers that could do their medi and pedi so nicely. My nail polish application is still streaky and patchy. >.< " aah.. practice.. practice!!

Anyway, have a great week my lovely people. =)

China Glaze Khrome Collection - 2030

April 12, 2010

First and foremost, "No" to converting this blog into nail-polish-related-review blog. :P

Sorry, just my current obsession. My bad, but I promise this will be the last one for this month! =)

So, here you go. 2030 from China Glaze Khrome Collection!

Here's the promo pic from China Glaze website:-

The 2030 doesn't look the same compare to the real color though (the second one from the right).

Aren't 2030 pretty???

Especially with jeans! xD *loveeeee*

But I think the application is a little streaky though. =\

Only one coat of 2030 is sufficient. I did tried 2 coats but the application became uneven and streakier. x\

With the bottle.

The color swatch pic from Transdesign is even worst. LOL! Totally not in sync with the real color.

Anyway, this 2030 cleans off like a dream. Unlike my Ruby Pumps and Dorothy who?. Those two are driving me crazy with their shimmers.

Last but not least, the product code & ingredients.

Okie, gotta run now! A new work week! Wishing all having a good week ahead! =)

China Glaze Four Leave Clover (super salah foto)

April 7, 2010

I haven't been able to blog these days. Either it's because of the housework, or it's is because of me. =\

Anyway, back to my nail polish fever. I got China Glaze's Four Leave Clover during my first ever haul with Transdesign.

And my-my, such a pain to get the real color out....

And I gave up! x(

*taken under sunlight*

PLEASE DONT LOOK AT THE UGLY APPLICATION (even though my CAPS has draw your attention to it. :P).

Seriously, if China Glaze Four Leave Clover looks like that, then it's pretty! xD

But too bad, the camera couldn't capture the real thing! The color is all W-R-O-N-G. =(

See the product pic? I got this by searching from Google, but still it's wrong. The actual color looks more green instead of bluish green.
If you look at the pic above, the swatch color code looks pretty similar to the actual color in real life.

Anyway, PolishPolice has a good one that looks pretty similar.

See? A lot of difference compared to mine. I saw quite a few review sites has the same color effect as mine too but I don't think it is the right one. =\

Anyway, anyone has tips how to capture the correct Greens and Reds in the photos? It is really annoying especially when this kind of photos need extra time & patience(!!) to edit them. *pulls hair and runs away*

Nail Polishes: China Glaze Lubu Heels and Dorothy Who?

March 14, 2010

Okay, going to make this quick since these were my NOTD for last week. Now my nails are "naked" at the moment since I'm doing a lot of crazy house chores. >.<

As you might have seen my Ruby Pumps.. I actually got these colors as well.

NOTD: China Glaze Lubu Heels.

Another up close with my recent SkinMD Shielding Lotion. =)

It looked pretty "black" when painted on the nails. The texture feels like "watery" black paint. I did this for two coats, then only the glitters will show up. These has finer glitters than Ruby Pumps!

The consistency of this is watery, which is not the same texture as Ruby Pumps even though they are both from the same company. BTW, the color on the nail polish bottle shows red but I'm really curious why the nail polish turn out to be "black" when painted. -_-

And this lovely color was on my feet.

NOTD: China Glaze Dorothy Who?

Please excuse the funky application. LOL!

It was a tough one when painting the toe nails. >.< Or maybe I have a stiff backbone. :P
And I love love love this color! =) Maybe I should paint them on my finger nails. Super bling!!

ahhh.. sexy. (please ignore me. :P)

China Glaze Dorothy Who? is such a nice color! Totally recommend this if you are up for challenging colors! =)

The consistency is very similar to Ruby Pumps. Not runny and neither too thick. Just nice. These are applied with two coats. And it covers up the nails well. My Dorothy Who? still stays on nicely on my toes after 5 days of application! No chipping.

As for your question on where do I get China Glaze Polishes.. It's from Transdesign. =)

Another note about Lubu Heels and Dorothy Who? nail polishes, they are such a pain to remove! -_-
The glitters take some time to remove them off. >_<

But they do stay "longer" on the nails than those nail polishes without glitters.

Have you tried these yet? Do share some interesting colors if you have. I'm obsessed with them now. (help!!!)

Skin MD Natural™ Face, Hand & Body Shielding Lotion Review

March 11, 2010

If you don't know about them, fret not! Coz I'm going to tell you about Skin MD today. But I'm no dermatologist, I can only tell you what I think of them as a user. =)

I actually got this product from them sometime back in February.

And they were packed very nicely which makes people feels nice. =) Don't pretty packaging makes you happy?

Look what they have gotten me?!

Generous can?! Plus little samples that is very useful for me especially when I'm traveling. =)

Here's the Shielding Lotion that you may have seen them around. =)

BTW, please visit SkinMD's website. They have lots of cool animations and explanation there! (You'll learn a lot even by looking at their little pictures, serious!)

Here's the description from the bottle.

And the back.

With it's ingredients.

The packaging that makes me want to bring it everywhere! :D Now it's sitting nicely on top of my office table. =D

Here comes the interesting part. The product.

See how smooth and light it is? I don't like those thick vit E creams/lotions as it always make me feel "oily" and "slippery/sticky". Especially I live in a super hot and humid weather country. =) This arrives at the right time!

See how smooth and light this is!

Before I tell you how the lotion works on me, let me show you some facts from them.

*taken from SkinMD's website*

This is an entirely new concept in skin care requiring a new classification: "Shielding Lotion". A shielding lotion keeps moisture-robbing irritants away from the skin while the proprietary "super" humectants hydrate the skin throughout the day.

Skin MD Natural™ is promptly absorbed, without the slightest hint of any greasy or oily feeling or residue, transforming the outer layer of skin into a hydrating invisible shield.

Glycerin has been the standard against which all humectants are measured. Until now no other humectant drew in as much moisture from the air as glycerin. But the proprietary formulation in Skin MD Natural has a moisturizing factor of at least 6 times greater than glycerin. Combined with its protective properties and natural ingredients, this makes Skin MD Natural a truly unique product.

An accumulated effect of Skin MD Natural is fully realized after only a few days of daily use. Depending on how dry your skin is the first few days may require reapplications after only a few hours. Usually, after a few days of continuous use, only one or two daily applications are necessary to see the improvement.
Sounds good right? This one below is even better! (this really tempts me to stock them up, ah!! )
Skin MD Natural is a shielding lotion, a very special type of lotion helping the skin restore its integrity, enhance its protective functions so that the skin is able to heal naturally and regain its youthful appearance. Skin MD Natural works by bonding with cells of the skin's outermost layer to form what works as an invisible shield. This layer of protection prevents environmental irritants and pollutants from penetrating the skin, while sealing in the skin's own natural oils and moisture, helping resolve the dry skin condition.

Skin MD Natural uses only the finest natural ingredients, and is focused on urging the skin to be active, and to use its own moisture to effectively heal itself. It is not oily or sticky, doesn't sit on top of your skin leaving a greasy residue on everything you touch, it doesn't rub or wash off easily, is hypoallergenic, fragrance, colorant and paraben free and dermatology tested.
So, are you sold to them? Maybe my experience may help you with the answer??

Note: Original means bare skin. Without any shielding lotion applied. Applied means I've applied the shielding lotion on the hands. =)

This is the back of my hand. The result is not so obvious. This one below might help you see the effect more (I hoped!).

See the slight difference? I only use consecutively for 3 days. I applied every one hour for the first day and every 2 hours for the second day.

Price: $18 for 4oz or you can check out HERE.

My thoughts:
I loved it!

For the first time I saw it, I actually thought this product wouldn't work much for me since the texture looked so "light".So I thought I brought this to the office to try them since the office air-con always dries up my lips and my fingers (I actually did put a cup of water beside me everyday but still the dry air seems to like my body moisture instead of the water -_-).

At the first few applications, my palms felt "normal" but I can felt it was less drier than before. Because of my patience level is low (haha!) , so I decided to go for a more intensive application by applying them every 50-60 minutes.

By the end of day 1, I could see my palms has lesser "harsh" palm wrinkles (or people call it lines?). My skin felt softer and smoother too! I did this "intensive application" for day 2 as well and I could see a little more difference than before -- the skin felt smooth and it felt as if there's some moisture locked underneath! So after day 2, I applied for every 2-3 hours instead since it doesn't felt so drying as before. I believed if this Shielding lotion is used for some time, the skin will "restore" it's moisture level without needing to apply them so frequently as before. So ... save money and more soft & smooth skin! =D

BTW, do you know SkinMD Shielding Lotion also works as a moisturizer for the face? I did try them as my "night" lotion but it did felt a little oily when I woke up in the morning. I think this shielding lotion would work better for those who has dry skin though. :)

Overall, I still love their Shielding lotion even though it's a little expensive compared to the conventional moisturizing lotions. I believed a little goes a long way. ;)

Oh btw, they don't have a strong fragrance too! A big thumbs up for this as I dislike products with a strong perfume scent. Also, I haven't tried their SPF version but I'll review them once I've tried them. =)

PS: You can buy this off from their website too as they do ship WORLDWIDE ($9.95 for shipping). PLUS if you order 5 or more bottles and you'll receive a bottle of the SPF formula for FREE ($25 value).

Hmm.. tell me how to resist the temptation of this please! =P

Nail Polish #1 Ruby Pumps from China Glaze

March 4, 2010

Hello all!

I'm very excited to show you what I did (without the help of Nail Hansen) to my nails!

PIC: 2 coats Ruby Pumps + Seche Vite Dry Fast topcoat

Even though it is still freaking messy, but I don't care! muahaha. Hopefully I have the determination to practice, practice, practice!

This is from China Glaze by the way!

Damn freaking cool color! Ruby pumps!

I actually didn't know what to get at first since I'm torn between OPI's I'm not really a waitress and China Glaze's Ruby Pumps. But I'll go with the cheaper one first. =p

BTW, it's so freaking tough to get the actual color out! RED is my camera's enemy. (LOL!)

Anyway, have you tried China Glaze's nail polish? I'm reading too many good reviews For Audrey but needed more suggestions though!

Do share away if you have any color that you like from them!

Quick Review: AESOP Rosehip Seed Lip Cream & Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm

February 12, 2010

I've seen a lot of advertisements of Aesop in Beauty Mags but I never try them myself until I was at one of the "Invitation-only" event in Parkson. Hmph!

Seriously, I wasn't attracted to them as I had the perception that the brand is targeted to more "mature" skin users. >_<
I like the way they arrange the things. Very pro-looking.

Some "discounts" deco.

Test me, test me!! =P

Since my friend was looking for beauty products to hit the "RM250" target (to get the stupid goodie bag. >.<) , she was eyeing on AESOP after hearing good things about their lipbalm & hand cream. Ok, so maybe these things never came into my mind since I don't used them that often!

First off, she tried the hand cream from them. I think this is the one which can be found from AESOP's website.

Perfected moisturising balm for hands and cuticles.

This greaseless formulation of hydrating botanicals will transform even the most abused hands. Massage a small amount into clean hands for superb hydrating and softening benefits. Excellent for rough skin, cuticles and nails, this balm is an Aesop classic. May be used all over the body, and is especially good massaged into dry, tired feet at night before retiring.

I couldn't much judge about this one as I only tried them once. My friend bought the smaller tube one so I'll asked her about it after she used them. :) I can only say it feels greasy at first but this cream absorbed really well and quite quickly too!

Next is their lip balm which my friend has almost tempted me to get them.. haha.. but failed! =P

The lady told us this was also one of their newest product. Hm.

Product on me.

Seriously, even though it's a cream formula kind of lipbalm but it does not attract me to it.

Why?
Because it dries off pretty quickly!! My lips feel matte and somewhat dry after 15 minutes of application. Since my lips chapped pretty badly, I don't think this will work for me even though I like the "matte" look of it. And oh, it's RM45 if I remembered correctly.

Oh, and the lady there also my friend to fill up the particulars for upcoming newsletters.

I don't think I'll get anything from them anytime now since they don't appeal to me at the first place. Hee hee.. So if you got anything from them, do share!
