Naruko Narcissus Total Defense Mousse Facial Wash with love!

January 24, 2011

As you may know, I used quite a bit of Niu Er's product. From Skincology range and now I'm using Naruko, but not the full range of his product.

One of the product I really like is the mousse foaming cleanser.
In Chinese, it's called 水仙全效禦護潔顏泡.

And this is my first mousse cleanser that really amazed me compared to my other cleansers.

The product pic that can be seen around on the Net.

Actual item that comes with in a white box.

Side descriptions.

Check out the website stated on the box.

The expiry date that is clearly printed below the box.

The real thing. :)

Upclose of the label.

Side label.

Mousse-y cleanser!

Up close.

Product Size: 150ml
Product Price: 249NT Online Price(Quoted from Naruko's website) I bought around RM32 from a local blogshop.

My thoughts:
I'm loving it as I just have to pump 1 or 2 times to get it on my palm and voila! I can just cleanse it straight away without having the need to foam the cleanser. And it feels uber-soft and gentle on my skin! The smell of the cleanser is also very calming and light. Also, it does NOT dry up my skin nor I felt tight after washing my face.

On the negative point, the cleanser does not last for long as it sure does finish by 3 months of continuous usage (day and night). =(

Will I repurchase? Yes! especially it does save my time on cleansing without the need to foam the cleanser up. Good for lazy people! (hee hee :P)

Here's the ingredients in case you need them.

Oh btw, the box can be recycled too! To a pencil box! How cool is that? :D

That's all and I'm done with cleanser. Gotta use my new Apple-Juicy one (*hint Korean *hint) :P

Clearasil Stayclear® Skin Perfecting Wash Review

May 26, 2010

Greetings my lovely blogwalkers/readers/strangers/lovers *chuckles* :P

So yeah, like finally. ;)

Here's what I'm going to talk blog about today.

Frankly speaking, I bought this due to Watson's clearance for this product. If I'm not mistaken, it costs me about only RM5 or RM6. Talk about spending dough without thinking. =)

Plus it says "Dermatologically tested". ( am I the only one attracted to their marketing strategy??)

So here you go. The description on the back of the product.
Well well, I was actually looking for a cleanser. I should have read the description more carefully this time. This is a "gentle" face scrub + cleanser by the way.

Made in Thailand?! Hmm... I actually thought Clearacil is a local product. =\

Standard packaging.

Okay, so here comes the interesting fact...

Contains Moisturisers??? Wow. I didn't know cleanser/scrub needed moisturizers. Does that mean we don't have to use moisturizer after using this product? ....

... But wait, when I read the details of the product, it says "Moisturizing agents help ensure your skin soft, smooth and hydrated". Hm.. a bit misleading huh?

Anyway, here's how the product looks like:-

On the back of the hand:-
*spot the microbeads?*

Gotten from Clearasil Website:-
Gentle exfoliating formula helps clear and prevent breakouts for CLEARER SKIN ALL DAY, EVERY DAY. The gentle microbead formula penetrates deep into pores to remove dirt, oil and bacteria. Moisturising agents leave skin soft, smooth and hydrated.

Benefits

CLEARER SKIN ALL DAY, EVERY DAY.
Contains moisturisers to help care for your skin
Dermatologically Tested
Directions for use

Gentle enough to use everyday in the morning and evening.
Wet face. Squeeze a small amount into hands.
Massage gently onto face avoiding the delicate eye area.
Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Ingredients

Salicylic Acid

My thoughts:-

I don't like it. Sorry. Here are my reasons:-
  1. Contain fragrance. But still tolerable-lah.
  2. Leave an "oily-like" / moisturized feel on the skin after cleansing.
  3. Doesn't lather up. (I like foamy cleansers, even Biore (I think) has this type of micro-beads cleanser.)
  4. The description says remove oil & bacteria --> this is misleading. Since the product is so "moisturized", I still feel the "oil/oiliness" is not taken away by the cleanser.
But anyway, I think this product would suits people with very dry skin/sensitive skin. To me, this feels like a cream cleanser with very fine beads (to exfoliate your skin). If you like creamy cleanser, then keep a lookout for this product at your local drugstore.

ps. I'm not too sure if every Watson has this on their clearance shelf, but will keep you updated if I do spot them in another Watson outlet (I bought this off from I-avenue's Watson - Penang). ;)

So yeah, that's about it. Have a good day(s) ahead, people. =)

I'm Not a Doctor but I Dissect Them

February 27, 2010

Hee hee. An unofficial doctor, maybe? =)

You may have heard that people dissect their UDPP for more primer, but since I don't have UDPP, I dissect my tube cleanser. =)

*please excuse my fugly chipped nails. =)*

I have done this not only to my cleanser but also to my hair conditioners as well.

Don't waste them, even they cost just a few cents. =)

As for the cleanser, it's another product from Niu Er. I bought this many months (uhm..years maybe?) back and I think they have discontinued them since I don't see this cleanser anymore.

Product: Niu Er Advanced Hydrating Facial Cleansing Cream.

I can only do a quick review since I don't have much details of them anymore now. =)

Description in Chinese.

In tube.

Texture wise.

My thoughts:
This is a cream cleanser. Hence, don't expect to get foams/bubbles from this one.

I dislike the scent for this one as it has a strong creamy vit.E smell, just like those conventional moisturizer scent. However, this mild cleanser cleanse well and leave skin moisturized without feeling tight. I think this cleanser suits sensitive skin types as well. Anyway, if you still see this on their Payeasy website, do let me know (I might have overlooked them).

Til then, have a good weekend ahead people. =)

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel Review (HG!)

January 29, 2010

I'm a total convert in this one. =D

I still remembered the days I keep bugging fio to order new cleansers for me every two months!
Argh! Seeing these cleansers make me realize how poor I am (=P). These cleansers just never stay on longer so I can save some dough for other things! Also, finding Mr.Right for the skin is never easy. Either it feels like bleach or the cleanser smells funny. -_-

The love story began when I was introduced by one of the dermatologist when I was signing up for their "free skin test". I was totally sold by them after their detailed explanations of what my skin lacks at that time. I believed this situation would be the same for any beauty co. would do. (ahh, there goes my money)

So I gave in and bought their normal/dry skin kit for a trial after they convinced that their product would suits me perfectly. Damn. Never did I realize this was a love-hate relationship with Dermalogica.

Hate because they price tag is so ugly (haha, that was part of the reason).Actually, I hated their skin smoothing cream (moisturizer). =.= It was too oily for a normal-combi skin user like me. And I had pimples with free milia seeds on my skin (too rich I supposed)! Argh! But I love love love their cleansing gel! :D

I'll tell you why later in this part. Now picture first.
This the bigger bottle btw. 500ml.

Comes with a "authenticity" seal (I think!).
I heard a few friends of mine said there are "fake" ones selling in the market/online. As a side note, do be careful when purchasing. The "seal" can be one of the ways to detect the authenticity of the product.

The pump dispenser that I like.

And their printed dates below the bottle.

The description.

Dispense pea size amount of gel and you'll get a foamy cleanser.

The Product: 500ml

Description from Dermalogica:

A concentrated, soap-free,foaming gel designed to thoroughly remove impurities without disturbing the skin's natural moisture balance.Contains no artificial fragrance or colour.

Gentle, soap-free cleanser is listed as a "Secret for getting gorgeous skin".

Price: RM229 (Retail Price for 500ml); RM153 (Retail Price for 250ml)

My thoughts:
I loved it! I have been using this for two freaking-long-years now. My brother swears by this and my SO loves it too! My friends too, bought their 2nd bottle of the special cleansing gel after I've introduced this to them some time back. Gosh. DERMALOGICA should have pay me for this. LOL!!

Anyway, what I wanted to say is that this 500ml bottle of special cleansing gel can last most of us users for a whole year. RM229 / 12 months= RM19.10 per month, 60cents for day and 30cents for each wash. =D Crazy I know.

I super love this is because my skin doesn't feel dry or have those "squeaky clean kind-of-feeling" after cleansing (I know some other brands are like this which is a little annoying for me). The skin feels "supple" after each wash and I also noticed my acne goes away after a few consistent use of this cleansing gel. On the other hand, I think I can declare my brother as the numberone supporter for this as he even bring this to Singapore (now Lyon) for his studies. I remembered he told me that this gel has help preventing his acne "friends" from partying hard on his skin. :D

Cons?
It takes a little patience in lathering up the foamy gel. Sometimes I get a little frustrated (especially when I'm late for work) as it doesn't lather up quickly as I wanted it to be. :P

Would I purchased this again? Definitely! I already got my fourth bottle (this time salon size one :P) standing gracefully at my messy cupboard. =D

Last but not least, the ingredients:

So have you tried this brand? If not, do ask for a sample from their dermatologist.

Revlis經典胺基酸深層洗顏料 @Revlis Facial Cleanser

September 3, 2009

Hm.. I don't think I talk about cleansers before. Most of them I could not get a review done is because I either finished off the whole bottle or I am just plain lazy to do it. :P

Well, this one was exceptional ,obviously. Wondered why? It's because I found these photos in my old photo compilation photo(I have a habit of taking haul pics but didn't post them up here) and I thought I can still review them since I haven't finish using it. :)

I didn't quite know the reason why I bought this in the first place. But I'm guessing it is because of the packaging (We do fall in love with pretty things literally... :P).I tried google about this and here's what I found..

Spot anyone familiar? Niu Er did a review on this product before... And there's a tube in orange and pink too!

Here's the actual product packaging...

Don't you think this packaging looks pretty? The box color looked so "bling-bling" and shiny. :D

The back of the box.

I can't do translation this time, coz the description are in Japanese...

The cleanser...

Creamy-creamy type of cleanser...

Some "demo"...

After adding some water and added some swirling and twirling massages :P

Tadaaa!!.. See how much bubbles it has?

The more bubbles a cleanser can foam, the better (and of coz you need to know the technique to "make it"). I remember one of the Origin SA told me that these foamy bubbles will "take" away all those pesky dirt/oil from your face.

The "composition" of this product....

The Product: 100g
Price that I bought this: RM30+ (from Fiobeauty.com, as usual)
My thoughts for this product:
If you look at the ingredients, there's Sodium Laureth Sulfate in this cleanser. With this cleanser, the bubbles form quite easily even when I don't really massage them on my hands (if you didn't know, SLS mostly appear in products like shampoo and soaps, thats why we love bubble bath so much :P). However, this cleanser makes my skin feels tight after each wash. Other than feeling "tight" on my face, the cleanser really does it's cleansing job well. Also, the fragrance is not too overpowering as well.

Cons?
I don't like the "tight" feeling after washing my face with this cleanser. Even though my skin felt squeaky clean, I can feel that it strips away my skin's mineral oil leaving my face a little too "dry" for my liking.

Overall, this cleanser doesn't do a bad job actually. I felt that I would have to apply my usual toner and serum after each wash, or else I can feel my pores are "generating" some "oil income" by end of the day. -_-" Since I already got this facial cleanser, I alternate my Dermalogica Cleansing Gel with this every other day so that I won't waste my money for it. :)
