Wet n Wild Color Icon Blusher, like finally!

February 14, 2011

Yes! Finally I had the courage to open up my new blusher! LOL!

This is because I had a very bad habit of buying and buying and buying without thinking if I really need these babies. :P Please excuse myself for self confessing! :P

Anyway, let me introduce you another new blusher called Wet n Wild Color Icon Blusher. =)

May I present you the introduction for this baby.
Wet n Wild Color Icon Blusher is a luxuriously smooth formula that provides a transparent sheen and a radiant pop of color to cheek for a natural glow. Infused with a special blend of treated nylon powders, Wet n Wild Color Icon Blusher delivers a long lasting color. Wet n Wild blush is dermatologist-tested.

Usage description:
Sweep on wnw Color Icon Blush that strikes the perfect balance between a blendable transparent sheen and a radiant pop of maximum color. A special blend of treated nylon powders provides long-lasting color. Dermatologist-tested.

The packaging at the back.

Up close of the color that I got - Pearlescent Pink.

It does look a little dark here and in real life, the color is almost what you see as above.

Also, it comes with a little brush.

And the brush is uber-dissapointing. *hiks*

Why?? Do I need to say more?

The swatch.

And on hand.

Product size: 0.14oz 4g
Product price: $3 (from Nonpareilboutique)

My thoughts:
This blusher is quite pigmented by itself, very powdery and quite finely milled too. Something like my previous ELF Blusher. Because of the "fragility" of the blusher, I have to hold it up firmly, just in case the floor "catches" it instead of me. =\ Also, fragance is very minimal too, I don't think it does have any strong scent attached to this one.

On the other hand, I still don't see myself reaching for this blusher as much as I does with my other MAC blushers. This is because I noticed that my brush tend to get "more" product than it should and I always have to tap it off a few times just to get the "extras" off from the brush, hence the wastage and messy-ness. Hmph! And no, I'm not talking about the brush that comes with this, because the brush that comes with it is too coarse for my liking. :(

But for $3, how can I expect so much for a blusher? If I had a choice, I would prefer to go for ELF blushers instead of this one because the prior's texture is somewhat a little more "smooth" and has a slight "silky with sheen" finish upon application.

Would I repurchase this?
No. But I'm glad I've tried it and it does kill any future lemmings that comes from this line at the moment. Sorry WnW!

So have you tried this one yet?

Wet n Wild Mega Liner (Black) Review

March 19, 2010

This was probably one of my "ugly relationship" where love and hate can occurs at the same time!

I got this product sometime back when I was hauling from Nonpareil Boutique.

Here's the promo pic that is randomly taken from the web.

They have many more pretty colors for this liner.

Please see one of the swatches from Make up Alley.

The Turquoise one looks fab here!

However, I only got the black one. =)

Here's the actual product.

What attracts me to try out this liner is not only because of its price, but also this:-

The descriptions on the box.

But do you know that this liner is also very tiny?!

The product picture looks normal but the actual size of this is tiny! So cute! =)

And here's the felt-tip liner.

Product description:

The product details:

Product size: $2.99/0.12 oz; Or you can get this from Nonpareil Boutique

My thoughts:
Before I tell you about my own thoughts, let me show you a little experiment that I've done.

See how easy it smudges?
I'm not sure about the reviews from Make Up Alley but for me, I would have rate only ONE star for this because of it's cuteness. =)

Frankly speaking, this Mega Liner smudges pretty badly on me. Not only it's not waterproof, the staying power isn't as great as well. The liner only stays on about 30 minutes or so on me. Or maybe I have oily lids and a pair of teary eyes. Also, this liner takes quite a while to dry off too.

On the bright side, the liner glides on very smoothly and the felt tip didn't felt "pokey" as well. Too bad the formula doesn't work for me, if not I would have stock them up for their the turquoise ones. =)

Overall, if you don't have oily lids like me, maybe you could try them as well since it's less than $3 bucks. =) Please also let me know if you felt otherwise. (I hope I don't break too many hearts for this one) =\

Wet N Wild MegaEyes® Crème Eyeliner - Black/Noir

November 30, 2009

Wet n' Wild is no strangers to most people. Even for myself, I don't really came across Wet n' Wild products other than nail polishes (when I was a teen back then).

Until recently this cream liner catches my attention from NonPareilBoutique's website.

It looks so cool right? These pics are taken from WnW's website.

I ordered mine from NonPareilBoutique and this is how it looks like..

Even though it comes in a "soft"-plastic kind of packaging, but it still does attracts me to it. :D

The back of the package..

Also printed with some foreign language that I don't understand. rolleyes

And if you are wondering about the brush that it comes with....

I actually loved the size of it.. but it is awfully scratchy. neutral

Here comes the UFO!! hahaha

I read from somewhere that these gel liner should be kept upside-down so that it won't dried up.. so I supposed WnW designed it this way?? Hmm..

LIB - Liner in Black :P

I didn't use the brush because it was pretty stiff.. so here's my MAC 209 brush..

The swatch..

  • Precision of a liquid liner with a silkier, softer finish that lasts
  • Specially designed brush allows for mistake-proof application

Here's me wearing them...

Hmm.. my thick lids is killing the liner!!! :D Here's another one...

My thoughts about it:
I'm loving it!! Previously, I did reviewed about my Coastal Scents gel liner and raved about how smooth it goes onto the lid, but this one is even smoother than that!! The texture is so soft until my brush can make several "pathways" and "potholes" in the cream liner .mrgreen The cream liner also dries up pretty quickly upon application. I have also worn the liner to work and the cream liner never smudges on my lids after wearing them for more than 8 hours. It does not smell weird unlike my Kate gel liner... and best of it, this is super AFFORDABLE!!!

Cons?
- Only two colors available - black and eggplant.
- Not available in Malaysia (boringgggg!!)
- Because the cream liner is so buttery smooth, it can "over-create" the line (became too thick...). Have to control the hand pressure when drawing.. :)

If you can get your hands on them, please do so!!And do let me know what do you think about them too! ;)

Here's the ingredient list that I can get hold of..

Will I re-purchased it? YES!! and I already bought a back up of it.... hahaha twisted
