China Glaze Four Leave Clover (super salah foto)

I haven't been able to blog these days. Either it's because of the housework, or it's is because of me. =\

Anyway, back to my nail polish fever. I got China Glaze's Four Leave Clover during my first ever haul with Transdesign.

And my-my, such a pain to get the real color out....

And I gave up! x(

Seriously, if China Glaze Four Leave Clover looks like that, then it's pretty! xD

But too bad, the camera couldn't capture the real thing! The color is all W-R-O-N-G. =(


See the product pic? I got this by searching from Google, but still it's wrong. The actual color looks more green instead of bluish green.
If you look at the pic above, the swatch color code looks pretty similar to the actual color in real life.

Anyway, PolishPolice has a good one that looks pretty similar.

See? A lot of difference compared to mine. I saw quite a few review sites has the same color effect as mine too but I don't think it is the right one. =\

Anyway, anyone has tips how to capture the correct Greens and Reds in the photos? It is really annoying especially when this kind of photos need extra time & patience(!!) to edit them. *pulls hair and runs away*

If you don't know about them, fret not! Coz I'm going to tell you about Skin MD today. But I'm no dermatologist, I can only tell you what I think of them as a user. =)

I actually got this product from them sometime back in February.

Before I tell you how the lotion works on me, let me show you some facts from them.

See the slight difference? I only use consecutively for 3 days. I applied every one hour for the first day and every 2 hours for the second day.

My thoughts:
I loved it!

For the first time I saw it, I actually thought this product wouldn't work much for me since the texture looked so "light".So I thought I brought this to the office to try them since the office air-con always dries up my lips and my fingers (I actually did put a cup of water beside me everyday but still the dry air seems to like my body moisture instead of the water -_-).

At the first few applications, my palms felt "normal" but I can felt it was less drier than before. Because of my patience level is low (haha!) , so I decided to go for a more intensive application by applying them every 50-60 minutes.

By the end of day 1, I could see my palms has lesser "harsh" palm wrinkles (or people call it lines?). My skin felt softer and smoother too! I did this "intensive application" for day 2 as well and I could see a little more difference than before -- the skin felt smooth and it felt as if there's some moisture locked underneath! So after day 2, I applied for every 2-3 hours instead since it doesn't felt so drying as before. I believed if this Shielding lotion is used for some time, the skin will "restore" it's moisture level without needing to apply them so frequently as before. So ... save money and more soft & smooth skin! =D

BTW, do you know SkinMD Shielding Lotion also works as a moisturizer for the face? I did try them as my "night" lotion but it did felt a little oily when I woke up in the morning. I think this shielding lotion would work better for those who has dry skin though. :)

Overall, I still love their Shielding lotion even though it's a little expensive compared to the conventional moisturizing lotions. I believed a little goes a long way. ;)

Oh btw, they don't have a strong fragrance too! A big thumbs up for this as I dislike products with a strong perfume scent. Also, I haven't tried their SPF version but I'll review them once I've tried them. =)

Advanced Hydrating Neck Firm Gel Review 玻尿酸美頸水凝膠

I never really came across neck creams until a few online friends came to talk about them. Frankly speaking, the neck area was not even in my area of concern since I was just in my 20s back then.

Oh boy I was wrong! I was pretty horrified seeing myself having those "zebra"-like wrinkles when standing in front of the mirror. *_* (pic below) It was even more disgusting a few months ago when they were darker than the picture. Fio said it was probably due to "not properly" cleanse when bathing. Or in other words called "laki" (hokkien) xD

I remembered people said by looking at your neck, your age will be revealed without even asking! =_= Finally, I gave in and got myself a neck "gel" instead of those buttery cream ones since I don't fancy them that much (think oil slick + body acne = horrifying pimples. argh. or maybe I think too much! lol!)

For a newbienoobie like me, I opted for Skincology from Niu Er since I'm pretty confident with his skin care range.


If you have not known, one of Niu Er's famous line is their hydrating range.


Because I hate the "oily" feeling of creams, I got the gel one instead.


BTW, don't their packaging just look alike? The right one was my HG Moisturizer. Talk about cost saving packaging! :P

My thoughts:
I'll let the picture do the talking. I'm just a little lost for words.

Do you noticed any difference? =X Let's look at the plus points first, I like how the gel feels, light weight and non-sticky. It also smells good and refreshing too! I think that is all I can say for the plus points.

Cons?
A handful of them. I do not see firming and I still see my obvious neck rings after 2.5months. I did not hope for a miracle by using this but at least it should show some improvements right? I'm not sure if it is me but I noticed my wrinkles are much more visible now. :(

Overall, even though the gel does feel relaxing and refreshing but I don't think I would repurchased this again. Maybe I should try the cream version of this instead. Please do let me know if you have a better neck creams/gels to recommend too! I just don't want to reveal too much of my age to the public yet. :P

I went for a second visit to Nail Hansen actually. And this time they did my nail color in gold color.. actually this was done on Christmas Eve in 2009, but then I thought it matches the CNY mood as well. =)



I did my Pedi too! Coz you know lah, their price is much more affordable if you did them both at the same time.

I did both Medicure + Pedicure for RM80. At Penang Queensbay's Nail Hansen (beside F.O.S).

Here's why I did it:

1. I'm pretty bad at "maintaining" my nails. All these years, the only thing I did was only cutting and trimming my nails with a normal cheapo nail cutter (about RM1 at any supermarket). And also because of my "danceyfeet" (via wearing tight jazz & sport shoes), my toe nails (especially my big toe) became so rough until I can feel the "wrinkles" and "pathways" on the surface of the nail. After I had my first nail treatment, it became so smooth that the previous "wrinkles" are all gone. This is really true!!! =
   
2. To eliminate ingrown nails and fungus. I know it's hard to "screw away" those fungus, but at least the nail experts can tell us how healthy our nails were. Also, I don't know how to file/cut my cuticles properly as well. I know some of these can be learn, but it's the "patience" that wears off easily on me. lol.
3. I want pretty nail color so I can show off, especially when wearing flip flops and open-toe shoes. xD Again, this skill can be learn like some beauty bloggers out there.. but yours truly doesn't have a steady hand, and keep drawing "out of line". Or in another word - lazy. :P

I'm not saying I'm rich or trying showing off here, but sometimes we do pamper ourselves with our own likes. Talk about enjoyment and own "beauty time". :D

If only I have the determination to do my own nails, then I can sure say bye bye to the Nail Salons and save a lot of $$ here. =)

Wakilala Products for Underarm - Wash Peeling and Bright Up Essence

Aloha people~ Yeah I know, it's the end of first week of November already. And I always hate the beginning of the month as I'm pretty much tied up with my work. *sigh*

Anyway, something that I wanna share is this...

I don't really care much about my underarms seriously and what make it worst is that if you do shave alot, ingrown hairs and dark patches eventually will haunt you down, most of the time (for me.. -_-). Until one of my closest online friend who told me that if you have that dark patches there, it means that you don't wash it properly -_-". And they called them mosses. LOL!

So, I went to pick up my very first underarm product - the scrub. :D

My thoughts about it:

I like it! The texture of the product is creamy and it does not harm the skin. The "beads" of the scrub is not small, something like St Ive's scrub but it is so much softer and felt like whipped cream + butter on the skin. :P I used this product early this year and I find that it does do the job as describe (whitening effect, yes!). However, I noticed this result after using this for 4-5 weeks later lah.. With this price range, I have no complaints since I quite like the feeling of it. ;)

Cons?
NA in Malaysia. Have to pre-order or buy online.

My thoughts about it:
ALCOHOL. The first time when I was using this, I was pretty scared. Because I initially thought the toner will give some kind of cooling or maybe spicy kind of feeling .. (I know, too much imagination ) I believed the alcohol content is pretty high with this one. It absorb into the skin pretty quickly and it gives a cooling feel on the underarm area. I doubt you can get this kind of cooling feeling from our deodorant ...

As for the effect, it does lessen the sweat from the underarms. And also the body odour is not so strong anymore (I'm a deodorant user, so I do feel this does helps me ). The best of it is the cooling feel after the toner is applied. Super nice feeling. XD The toner also smells good too! Not overpowering, just nice!

Cons?
NA in Malaysia loh.. I don't like the packaging also. I think Wakilala should change it to a pump bottle. I need to be very slow in pouring this toner out onto my cotton pad. This is because it spill out a lot of product as it is very watery (or I'm clumsy anyway...). Another comment from me is that I don't really see anybrightening effect, or maybe because I don't use this too regularly.. hmm... so I'll update this maybe another month later...
